About me :

         First of all allow me to introduce my self, my name is Saverio Filippis. I have been in the accounting field for the past 7 years. I reside in Edmonton Alberta, with my girlfriend, and our three four legged  children. As previously mentioned I have been in the accounting field for a long time, but I would have hardly thought myself years ago to get into this profession.

Many years of working with no real purpose or passion must of done it! My family always asking that I should choose a career didn't do it. All those years of them hoping I would be a lawyer or doctor or something; for it is rightfully important for Italian parents to tell everyone they know that their son is a doctor or something they consider important! Alas they gave up their pursuit and 6 months after I came across a pamphlet flying through the air and grabbed it, it was a flyer for accounting classes at a local college. One class and I was hooked!

My accounting diploma was completed at GMCC (Grant MacEwan Community College) and my diploma is from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). My designation will be complete by 2009. I believe that my educational journey will never truly be complete as there are many areas one can break out into when it comes to accounting/finance. I am currently involved in database management as well as web hosting services which is something that is new to me but feel that it is essential to provide such services to create a Canadian market place consisting of green services. For this is one of the fundamental visions for our company.

Before I go tooting my own horn, I want to disclose the following information. I do believe that honesty serves as the best policy and some might consider me a hypocrite. I worked for oil companies for quite a few years! Prior to getting into truly following my passion which was supporting companies that are looking to make a difference in this world all the while respecting planet earth's quest to feel as alive as we do.  Initially I  always thought that just simply working in the accounting field would satisfy my passion, but clearly this was not the case as in the back of my mind the thought has always resided that I was still a part of the fossil fuel industry. I moved up in senior rankings fairly quickly, but it was to no avail as my consciousness was moving towards a different direction to move into the eco-friendly services and provided unlimited support for green minded people and businesses.
